Wonderfalls, and the RatBastards at Fox
They killed my show.
Why is it that the fact that I like a show is the kiss of death for it?
Further, why does Fox never give a show a chance to find its audience? Very few long-lasting shows were ever runaway hits right out of the blocks.
Other than the Simpsons, this was pretty much the only thing worth watching on Fox.
And curse that Andy Partridge, but it's HIS fault that every time I think about the show, the theme he wrote for it bounces in and out of my head for HOURS.
Die, Rupert, die!

I just realized something, and now it's getting clear just how paranoid I'm getting.
Item the first: High gasoline prices.
Item the second: Decrease in OPEC production.
Item the third: Bush's ineffectual 'jawboning' to try to get OPEC to increase production.
Item the fourth: General public dismay at the high gasoline prices, as mentioned in #1.
...
Item the fifth: Terror alert! Danger on the highways and in other ground transportation. (i.e., don't travel)
Throw in a small dash of item the sixth: Elementary capitalism (e.g., lower demand equals lower prices)
Anyone but me smell a rat here?

A fantasy I just had while listening to the news ...
GWB to OPEC: "High prices at the pump are not acceptable! Grrr!" (much waving of hands, trying to look threatening)
OPEC to GWB: "That's nice, dear. Make out the check to 'OPEC.' There's a good boy."
So yesterday, out of the speakers on my computer came 'Fight the Power.' Then 'Cult of Personality.' And then 'Chimes of Freedom' performed by the Byrds (or Roger McGuinn or something). Then came Al Franken. Air America began.
It was, and I'm sorry to be a little hyperbolic and squidgy here, something of an emotional moment. There's always been a little undercurrent of having to be quiet and fearful of being seen as liberal. But there's strength in confederacy.
And dammit, they're all just so funny.
Gotta polish the technological aspects, though.
